Tour Itinerary of 15 Days Kalash Chilam Joshi Festival Tour
Greeting the guests at the airport, we will start a city tour of Islamabad. We will visit the heritage museum, see the Shah Faisal Mosque, and enjoy the highest viewpoint at Pir Sohawa. We will stay overnight in Islamabad.
After breakfast, we will head to Swat, a lovely hill station about a 3-hour drive from Islamabad. Swat used to be a hub of Buddhist culture. We will pass by the white palace and explore some archaeological sites. We will spend the night in Swat.
Today, we will leave Swat and head to Chitral. We will arrive at AYUN, the nearest village of the Kalasha tribes. We will explore the town; if not, we will visit it tomorrow. We will spend the night in Chitral.
Today, we will visit Rumbur Valley, the main village for the Chilam Joshi Festival. We will explore the village and enjoy lunch. Then, we will head to Bumburet Valley for the nightstay.
Visit the Bumburet Valley, where you can check out the local museum and Kalasha graveyards. Then, it’s time for the Chilam Joshi festival, where nearby tribes gather in Bumburet. Experience fun activities, cultural dances, colourful displays, photography opportunities, and connections with the locals. Afterwards, travel to Chitral for the night.
Enjoy early breakfast and depart for Chitral to explore Chitral Fort and Shahi Mosque. Afterwards, head to Birmoglasht on the mountaintop for a stunning valley view. Finally, return to Chitral for the night.
Visit Mastuj, the main village in the Yarkhud valley near the Afghanistan border. Take a short walk around the town and meet the local people. Spend the night in Mastuj.
After breakfast at the hotel, head towards Gupis. Travel through Shandur Pass and see several villages in Laspr. Take a break at Shandur Lake and the polo ground. You’ll pass by the fields and meadows of Barsit, Teru, and Langar. Make a quick stop at Phandar Valley. After checking into the hotel, explore the village for some photos. Spend the night in Gupis.
Wake up call for breakfast, then depart for Gilgit, the capital of Gilgit Baltistan. Explore the well-known Buddha carving at Kargah Nala and explore the Gilgit market. Stay overnight in Gilgit.
Enjoy early breakfast; head to Hunza Valley, a must-visit spot in Gilgit Baltistan. This valley has many attractions for tourists. It is surrounded by towering peaks, stunning mountains, rich history, and vibrant culture. You will travel on the Karakorum highway, one of the highest paved roads in the world. A short stopover at the Rakaposhi viewpoint. Explore the ancient Altit and Baltit forts and visit Karimabad. You will stay overnight in Hunza.
After breakfast, prepare for a full day of exploring North Hunza. Visit the beautiful Attabad Lake, Passu, and the Khunjerab Pass at the Pakistan-China border. Enjoy the fantastic views along the Karakoram Highway Afterwards, and return to Passu for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, explore Passu village. Discover the unique architecture and lifestyle of the Wakhi people in this area. Visit the beautiful Alpine Borith Lake, cross the Hussaini Hanging Bridge, explore Hopper Valley, and hike to Bualtar Glacier. Spend the night in Passu.
