We run 33 Hunza packages, from a three-day flight-in trip at USD 240 to a twelve-day Fairy Meadows, Skardu and Hunza circuit at USD 685. Every one uses private transport with a driver who knows the Karakoram Highway. There are no shared buses and no fixed group departures.
Packages are grouped below by the kind of trip rather than by length, because most people arrive knowing whether they have four days or two weeks. All prices are per person and are what we actually charge.

Short trips by air, 3 to 6 days
Fly Islamabad to Gilgit in about an hour, then drive three hours to Karimabad. This is how you see Hunza on limited leave. Flights are weather-dependent, so every by-air itinerary carries a buffer and a road fallback.

Classic road trips
Sixteen to eighteen hours up the Karakoram Highway over two days, with a night at Chilas. The drive is the reason to choose this: the Nanga Parbat viewpoint, the Rakaposhi viewpoint, and the point where three mountain ranges meet.

What drives the price
Duration. Three days by air at USD 240 is the cheapest way in. Six to seven days by road covers considerably more valley for a similar cost per day.
Air or road. By-air packages look cheaper on the headline because the fare is separate. Add USD 80 each way and the totals converge.
Hotel tier. The gap between our 6-day autumn package at USD 385 and the Luxus Hunza package at USD 650 is almost entirely accommodation. Both put you in the same valley.
Group size. Vehicle cost is fixed per vehicle, not per head. Four people in one vehicle pay considerably less each than two. Ask us for the group rate rather than multiplying the per-person price.

Our own advice: with seven days or more, drive up and fly back. You see the Karakoram Highway once, which is the point of it, and you save two days on the return.
If you fly, keep a buffer day. Flights are weather-dependent and a cancellation on the return leg will strand you if your onward connection is the same day.

3 days by air: Karimabad, Attabad, Passu
Day 1. Fly Islamabad to Gilgit, drive to Karimabad. Afternoon at Baltit Fort. Overnight Karimabad.
Day 2. Sunrise at Duikar. Attabad Lake, Passu Cones and Hussaini bridge in Gojal. Overnight Karimabad.
Day 3. Altit Fort and the old village, then drive to Gilgit for the return flight.
6 days by road: the standard trip
Day 1. Islamabad to Chilas via the Karakoram Highway, stopping at Besham. Long day. Overnight Chilas.
Day 2. Chilas to Hunza, stopping at the Nanga Parbat and Rakaposhi viewpoints. Afternoon at Altit Fort, Baltit Fort and Eagle's Nest. Overnight Karimabad.
Day 3. Khunjerab Pass, the highest paved border crossing in the world at 4,693 m, via the Karakoram Highway. Attabad Lake and boating on the way back. Passu Cones and Hussaini suspension bridge. Overnight Karimabad.
Day 4. Nagar Valley and Hopper Glacier. Walking on the glacier viewpoint. Return to Karimabad for the night.
Day 5. Karimabad to Chilas or Naran. Overnight en route.
Day 6. Continue to Islamabad, arriving evening. End of services.
12 days: Fairy Meadows, Skardu and Hunza
The full northern circuit. Raikot Bridge for Fairy Meadows and the walk up to the meadow, then east along the Indus to Skardu for Shigar, Khaplu and the Kachura lakes, then north to Hunza and Khunjerab. Twelve days, no backtracking, one vehicle throughout.
This is the trip we recommend to anyone visiting northern Pakistan for the first and possibly only time.

How booking works
- Confirm dates and package on WhatsApp or by phone. We send a written itinerary and a fixed quote.
- A deposit of 50% confirms the booking and secures hotels.
- Balance due 15 days before departure.
- International guests can pay by bank transfer or credit card.
- Cancellation: a 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking. Of this amount, 20% is non-refundable.
Why book a package
A package makes more sense in Hunza than in most places. The drive is 16 to 18 hours on mountain roads, hotels in Karimabad fill weeks ahead in July and August, and a driver who knows the Karakoram Highway is not the same as a driver who has a licence.
It also fixes your cost. Booking piecemeal, you pay peak-season hotel rates on arrival and negotiate every jeep fare individually.
When not to book a package. If you have three weeks, speak Urdu, and want to move on your own schedule, independent travel in Hunza is entirely feasible and cheaper. We will still sell you a driver and vehicle if that is all you need.

Can I book from Lahore or Karachi?
Yes, and from Rawalpindi and Faisalabad. Road departures from Lahore add about four hours and usually leave overnight. From Karachi we route via a flight to Islamabad.
Which is the cheapest Hunza package?
The 3 Days Hunza Valley by Air at USD 240, though airfare is separate. By road, the 6 Days Autumn Tour at USD 395 is the lowest and includes considerably more valley time.
What is the difference between the luxury packages?
Darbar Hunza at USD 580, Famree Resort at USD 630 and Luxus Hunza at USD 650 are built around a specific property rather than an itinerary. Luxus sits on the shore of Attabad Lake. All three fly in, so the time is spent at the hotel rather than on the highway.
When is the cherry blossom in Hunza?
Typically late March to mid-April, but it follows the winter rather than the calendar and shifts by a week or two each year. Our 7 Days Cherry Blossom Tour is USD 520 and we advise booking flexible dates.
Can I combine Hunza with Skardu or Fairy Meadows?
Yes. Adding Fairy Meadows costs two or three days with no backtracking, since Raikot Bridge is on the Karakoram Highway. Skardu adds four to five. The 12-day package at USD 685 covers all three.
How far in advance should I book?
For July and August, four to six weeks. For blossom in April and autumn in October, earlier still, because the windows are short and hotels fill. Off-season, a week is usually enough.
Do children get a discount?

Is Hunza safe for tourists?
